the stunning scenery of the Peak District to magnificent Chatsworth home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. See the
breathtaking staterooms beautifully adorned and decorated for the festive season. Pick up some delicious goodies in the
famous farm shop, browse the impressive gift shops and take a gentle stroll around the grounds. Explore the country’s
largest and most impressive Christmas Tree Festival in the cathedral like surrounding of Melton Mowbray Parish Church
and soak up the atmosphere of the street entertainment and busy street market. Good company, festive cheer and plenty of
goodies and treats are all ingredients of this memorable short break.

Itinerary
Wednesday – From our coffee halt we take an interesting cross country journey to Rugby Garden Centre for a lunch/
shopping halt. Our journey continues across the attractive, rolling Leicestershire Wolds to Gates Garden Centre at Cold
Overton for a tea halt and opportunity to look round excellent Christmas displays. Tea/coffee and mince pies welcome us
on arrival at the hotel.
Thursday – Travel through the glorious Peak District for an extended visit to Chatsworth including time at the famous Farm
Shop. Enjoy all that this magnificent house and its estate has to offer.
Friday - Full morning visit to the Melton Mowbray Christmas Tree Festival in St Marys Church with time in the town centre
to enjoy the street entertainment, market and shopping. Be sure to pick up a famous pork pie and Stilton cheese! A
traditional festive lunch back at the hotel fortifies us for the homeward journey.
