Join us on a splendid guided drive through the enchanting lanes of North Somerset and
the charming Mendip Hills. We head through Bath and via Chew Valley Lake and the
Mendips to Cadbury Garden Centre at Congresbury for a lunch halt. Our tour continues
along the pretty Gordano Valley to Portbury where we visit Oakham Treasures – one of
the largest privately owned museums of retail and farming history in the UK. This really is
a trip down “memory lane”for everyone as you explore the many reconstructed shops
Following a coffee halt at Yarnton Nurseries we take a gentle drive through the Cotswolds
and through the Vale of Evesham to the March Hare Inn at Broughton Hackett for a
delicious roast carvery lunch. Suitably fortified we head through Worcester and over the
dramatic Malvern Hills – the oldest hills in Europe with their stunning views. We continue
through a clutch of pretty villages to our tea halt at St Peters Garden Centre at Norton.
This fine new guided tour follows the line of the Cotswold escarpment with its panoramic
views and attractive mellow stone villages. From a coffee halt at Dobbies Garden Centre
at Cirencester we head over Minchinhampton Common and through the Stroud Valleys to
historic Fromebridge Inn for a carvery lunch. Our afternoon drive takes us along the
Cotswold Edge through Dursley and Wootton under Edge to our tea halt at Almondsbury
Enjoy a relaxing autumn drive through the enchanting Surrey Hills and the attractive
scenery of the Mole and Wey Valleys. We begin the day with a delicious breakfast/brunch
at Chessington Garden Centre, following which there will be plenty of time to a spot of
early Christmas shopping! Our afternoon visit will be to the excellent Squires Garden
Centre at Badshot Lea.
The splendid historic city of Winchester has one of the most attractive Christmas markets
in the south set in attractive precincts of the Cathedral. All attractions and excellent
shops of the city centre are nearby and the coach will be setting down in the Broadway
right in the centre.
An ideal opportunity to get together over a delicious lunch with good company and festive
cheer in the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of the Windrush Inn at Witney. Jeremy and
Mia and their team will provide a sumptuous roast carvery lunch with all the trimmings
followed by homemade dessert. We enjoy a relaxing drive north to Witney and head
through the lanes after lunch to Milletts Farm Centre for a tea and festive shopping halt.
